Amé Charles was born from a deep desire to bring my ideas to life, to create a space where my art, fashion, and personal story could coexist and be shared with the world. After years of sketching, stitching, and designing pieces for myself, I realised I was ready to offer my creations to others. The brand is an expression of my journey, from my early days of customising my own clothes to my love of craftsmanship and fashion as a form of activism.

My passion for fashion began when I was young, sewing patches and embroidering my clothes to make them feel like my own. But it wasn’t until I left my traditional studies behind and embraced a creative path that I truly found my purpose. Attending college in a converted lace factory, I began to thrive, feeling for the first time like I belonged. That environment, along with my meditative practices, gave me the courage to embrace my talent and see fashion as a form of personal empowerment. From that moment on, fashion became my language—a way to connect, inspire, and express.

Amé Charles is about more than just beautiful clothes; it's about pieces that make you feel inspired, confident, comfy, sexy, and bold. Each design reflects the natural world that I draw inspiration from—whether it’s the intricate textures of the earth or the raw beauty of nature’s colors. Every piece is thoughtfully created with sustainability at its core, using natural fibers, hand-finished details, and often featuring antique or recycled elements. Many of my designs are one-of-a-kind, making them as unique as the individuals who wear them.

I believe that fashion has the power to uplift and that what we wear can make an impact, not only on how we feel but also on the world around us. From my collaborations with artisans in the UK and Ukraine, to my hand-finished pieces, I am committed to supporting slow fashion and offering inclusive designs for all body types.
